Palestinians in north Gaza fired at least two mortars towards Sderot Sunday evening, but there were no reports on injury or damage.

Security officials initially believed that the siren heard throughout the Negev region was the result of a malfunction, but later reported that two mortar shells landed near the security fence separating Israel from Hamas-ruled Gaza. Military sources report that the IDF and northern command are urgently investigating how a large group of Hizballah terrorists and Lebanese villagers managed to rush the new border fence and hoist Lebanese and Hizballah flags at an unmanned Israeli lookout post at the foot of the Kfar Shaba Farms Hills. The incident occurred Friday, July 17 around the date of the third anniversary of the Lebanon war, a conflict that was in fact triggered by a Hizballah cross-border raid and kidnap of Israeli soldiers. Nine Palestinians were killed - including members of Hamas's security forces - and more than 90 were wounded in fighting that erupted Saturday between Hamas and Fatah members in Gaza City.

Hamas security forces are seen on a truck during a crackdown on the Fatah-linked Hilles clan, alleging that suspects in last week's bombing had found refuge in a Hilles-controlled area in the Shijaiyeh neighborhood in Gaza City, Saturday. 26 people were wounded, one of them severely, as a bulldozer driver went on a rampage in central Jerusalem Tuesday afternoon in an apparent attempt to recreate the terror attack in the capital earlier this month. The vehicle reportedly left a construction site near the Yemin Moshe neighborhood and set off towards Liberty Bell Park (Gan Hapa'amon), near the corner of Keren Hayesod and King David streets. It drove a distance of approximately 160 meters, attempting to overturn a bus and crashing into four other vehicles - one of which it flipped over. In a rampage along Jerusalem’s crowded Jaffa Street thoroughfare, a bulldozer hoisted and overturned a packed bus, then extended its shovel and plowed into several vehicles and pedestrians. One cut a woman driver in half. The bulldozer driver was tackled and shot dead by two policemen opposite the national broadcasting center. The terrorist was a Palestinian living in one of the Arab villages of Jerusalem and therefore entitled to move freely around Jerusalem with a resident’s ID. Read more...

One man was killed and three moderately wounded Thursday morning when a mortar fired from northern Gaza hit a manufacturing facility of the Nirlat Group on Kibbutz Nir Oz in the western Negev.

Amnon Rosenberg, 51, was the father of 3. Another person was lightly injured by shrapnel. All were taken to the Soroka Hospital in Beersheba by Magen David Adom emergency services. In a statement, Hamas took credit for the attack. Read more...
