In the homes, HANDS OF MERCY is committed to the victim’s permanent long-term recovery. In most terror attacks, innocent Israeli’s simply were carrying out their day to day lives…going to work, shopping, sitting in a cafe with family and friends. Suddenly, at one unexpected moment, their lives were irrevocably shattered. While many people read the headlines and soon forget the harsh reality of these tragedies, the victims of terror attacks must continue to face the painful challenges and difficulties of these events for life.
Most of the victims and their families have suffered from devastating events which forever have changed their lives. Unemployment, long physical and emotional
recovery, and extended periods of physiotherapy often leave victims confined for months and even years. Visiting the victims in their homes is an important and significant part of comfort and encouragement during these difficult times. Sharing coffee, a listening ear, offering a simple gift of sweets surprisingly brings much happiness back into their lives. Some of these relationships which have been made within the homes have forged deep and lasting friendships. This is the heart of HANDS OF MERCY.
