We all say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISRAEL" on your 62nd birthday! What a celebration! Considering the awesome miracles which have caused her rebirth following 2,000 years of dispersion, no country in the world has been blessed with such a reason for "simchah" and "geulah" (joy and happiness) than this tiny nation! Both orthodox and secular communities exuberantly commemorated this special occasion with family and friends. Yet, even as we celebrate, surrounding Islamic nations plot for Israel's swift annihilation.
IRAN'S AND SYRIA'S DEADLY THREATS
Iran is aggressively pressing to achieve nuclear power, spreading a menacing cloud over our delicate world. At a parade in Teheran that showcased Iran's surface-to-surface Ghadr, Sajjil and Shahab-3 missiles, which have a range of up to 2,000 kilometers that puts Israel and US bases in the region within Iran's reach, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reportedly extolled Iran's military might, saying..."the country is so powerful today that no one would dare attack it." Syria also remains a powerful threat due to their massive chemical and biological missile program, capable within minutes of destroying all of Israel's populated cities. Syria ’s vigorous support of radical Islamic terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Hamas bring the prophetic warnings of the ‘Last Days’ ominously near. EXTENDING HANDS OF MERCY
In the dramatic context of what has been shared above, our "Tents of Victory" Center continues to reach out with our L-RD's love and compassion to many families who continue to suffer over the several years of rocket attacks, suicide terror, and war. Because of these long-term effects, we remain here for them to personally reach out with 'hands of mercy' to assist hundreds of needy families through distribution of clothing, food, and emergency assistance - without which many would be destitute. What a joy to inspire such hope and faith! Because of this, we remain here for them, personally assisting hundreds of needy families each weak with other ministries through the distribution of clothes.
EXPANDING OUR TENT-PEGS
An enormous 40-foot shipping container "dropped from the sky" as a result of the generous support of Joel Chernoff, The Joseph Project and friends. In addition to thousands of quality clothing items donated to our outreach center each month, this container will soon provide a home for our much-needed "Home-Industry Self-Assistance Program". This will encourage recovering victims to become personally involved in supporting their needy families, rather than to remain victims of their often destructive welfare mentality.
In the face of many critical threats of war, we request your prayer for guidance in getting prepared and ready as needed. Meanwhile, we extend our special blessings to you for the essential part you play as our partner and friend--in this vital front line outreach ministry!
