Painfully Israel tries to recover from the destructive effects of the recent Lebanon War which held a million Israeli’s hostage to the fear of death from the 3000 deadly Hizbullah Katusha rockets which rained from the skies. When the smoke cleared, hundreds of innocent Israeli’s had been killed or wounded; leaving the captive soldiers unreleased and this nation even more vulnerable to Hizbullah and Syrian attacks.
Hands of Mercy worked tirelessly with other leading international and Israeli relief organizations to provide courage, hope and faith to thousands of our troops as they bravely prepared to go into battle…or returned with stories of miracles or tragic events. Thousands of gift boxes of food were distributed to needy families…often amidst the bombardment of deadly Katusha’s.
Throughout the weeks of war, many miracles occurred in answer to prayer and support from people of faith around the world. In Israel, hospitals were filled with soldiers and civilians…many fighting for their lives…yet finding renewed courage and hope through the commendable efforts of dedicated staff and volunteers.
